This book and Sheila,her life and experiences,helped me immensely!Though I had and have difficulty in my life,I haven't suffered like her,BUT,she has overcome!And I am inspired and motivated to internally revolutionize as well as my faith is strengthened and I am comforted even more by my hope and comfort found in my Lord and Saviour,Jesus Christ and God the Father.I have seen what He can do for Sheila in her extreme pain,circumstances,etc.He can do it for us all no matter what we have been through or are going through.And we also have the ability and choice to move forward,change,etc in wonderful and beautiful ways.It would be awesome and a blessing to meet Sheila someday

Thus book was very enlightening. I thought it was a great read.
The title should really be How to give up being a victim. This author really understand that we are only a victim if we let ourselves be victimized. We are in charge of our own destiny. Anyone experiencing a life filled with negativity will find this book very helpful.
Sheila survived the horrendous unsolved murder of her family members and friend and I hoped to find out more about that murder initially. I had lived in the area at the time and have been infuriated that it was never solved. Sheila's book was an uplifting read about how this young woman has overcome the tragedy and taught me some life lessons along the way.
This woman has led a fascinating life. I am a pretty strong woman and I cried at some of the spots in this book because it really happened to someone. These things should never be experienced by anyone. It kept me engaged in it to the very end! Take your time and read this book. It is well worth it!
I've been following the Keddie mystery for a long time. I was only 5 yrs old when I remember hearing my mom read about it shortly after it happened. The strength of Sheila Sharp is inspirational! It's true that we are not to be a slave to our emotions and how important forgiveness is for people to be free of the chains on anger and bitterness. Thank you, Sheila for sharing such an intimate look into your traumatic past and how you've overcome. You will help many! God bless you!
I downloaded How to Survive... and finished it while relaxing at a mountain cabin trip. Probably shouldn't have while in that environment but I really enjoyed this open and honest story. I admire Sheila Sharp.
Sheila, (The Author),has gone through a lot in her lifetime. Most of us can only imagine how painful it must be to lose half of your family overnight in such a brutal & senseless act. Amazingly, she has put into words that no matter what life throws our way, we must overcome, and make the best of our time here on earth.
