But his son? grandson? Is better. What a splendid idea. A combination of Raffles and Holmes. And a faithful Watson to record all his adventures.
An interesting set of stories that combine elements is sherlock Holmes AND Raffles stories in a rather fun manner. There are later stories that are based on similar lines, but this is the first. A fun book.
Meet R. Holmes, grandson of the larcenous Raffles and son of Sherlock Holmes himself, and thus caught in a dilemma...to steal or detect...THAT is the question!
As a Sherlock Holmes fan in any medium, I really liked this. I have read only a few of the stories, between doing other things, but if you are a Holmes fan, you will most likely enjoy this.
This was a good book how ever I do wish the author had done more to make it more interesting. I look forward to reading more of this author's work.
This bit of Sherlockiana was good for a quick entertaining read but honestly didn't
compare to other sequels and continuations I have read.
Having read all the original Sherlock Holmes stories I was curious to see if Mr. Bangs character would be anywhere near as entertaining. I was in for a great surprise -these stories we just as clever as Cannon Doyle 's with an extra dash of humor. I highly recommend them!
