This book kept me flipping through it. I'd say, "Next chapter I'm going to bed. Next chapter." That never happened. I finished it in one night. Wonderful book, I can't wait for the rest of the series!
This book reminds me of my gaming years. It's very similar to Dungeons and Dragons. It's fast-paced and easy to read. Makes me feel nostalgic for my past! You would enjoy this book if you enjoy gaming!
Very nostalgic. Takes me back to the great swords-and-magic adventure stories, lot of dungeon-delving flavor and excitement.
If you are a fan of high adventure in the vein of classic D&D, or the likes of Moorcock, this is right up your alley.
Great book that's faithful to D&D. Easy enough to read that even young readers can enjoy it while still being entertaining for older readers. Highly recommend this book and author.

It is really tough to get a good quality fantasy story that is not cull of cliche. This one accomplishes that. It reminds me of the days when I was a boy and my imagination would run wild. I have been one that wants to live in fantasy realms and this one pulled me right in to the point that I would actually forget reality for a bit. I highly recommend.
This is the beginning of a classic fantasy story. You can practically hear the dice rolling in the background. The main characters and cultures are interesting and distinct from each other. I can't wait to read more.
