Cha Ching! Andrew Grinbaum 9780557613212 Books
"Don't settle for a job without joy!" is one of the statements said early on in Cha-Ching! This book includes good recommendations for online tests and other assessments to help you find your strengths and utilize them in your work. There's several great tips and all-around people advice, including not spreading gossip, and documenting everything you do in your job.I see this book as a great tool for high school upperclassmen, college students and recent grads, or anyone in a career transition. It's aimed for people who want to go for the big corporate world.
One tip from this book I hadn't considered before is to publish an article related to your major & send it with your resume and cover letter. That's a cool idea.
If you're in high school or college, this is a good book to pick up. If you've been working for several years, consider reading 48 Days to the Work You Love: Preparing for the New Normal (Dan Miller) or What You're Really Meant to Do: A Road Map for Reaching Your Unique Potential (Robert Kaplan) instead.

Cha Ching! Andrew Grinbaum 9780557613212 Books Reviews
I've seen similar smaller articles about the same subject matter in blog format- but never a book that organizes the topics by theme and delivers targeted messaging in one cohesive package.
The book is very well done and appropriate for college or graduate students and for people who have been in the workplace for many years but are looking to transition to different industry.
If only someone had told me a few of Mr. Grinbaum's insights earlier in life! Straight to the point and forceful, this is must-have book for anyone attempting to enter our modern, fast moving job market. "There is no loyalty in companies anymore" he says. Its true. You need a strategy to succeed. CHA-CHING! will help you build that strategy -
One negative - the list of 100k careers is helpful but vague.
Full Disclosure - I've known the writer over 10 years and yes, he has followed his own advice and has begun numerous successful business ventures in NYC metropolitan area.
I am always looking for good motivating and inspirational
material to keep me focused and challeneged to expand.
Cha Ching was a happy find!
I appreciate the direct coaching style of the author
and am delighted to find a book that isn't just filled
with "filler" that circumvents the real issues.
Cha Ching provides a concise road map to follow
to reawaken self examination and desire to re-calibrate
where we want to go. If you haven't arrived at your heart's truely
desired destination start here.
Go for it! The cost
is a "ticket' to a better you!

Cover and title attractive and promising. Subtitle intriguingly realistic. The 100 $ bill and CHA-CHING could suggest that it is just another book of the get-rich-quick type; however, "How to Make a Whole Lot More than $100,000 with Your College Degree" brings one down to earth and makes one think "Hey, this might not even be too good to be true". And this is the feeling that is being confirmed page by page in this well-structured, practical, pragmatic and easy-to-read manual. Although written for an American audience, I found it very useful, inspiring and motivating as a European reader as well. Much of the advice in it is adaptable to other market economies and some might even give you an edge over your competitors if you apply it elsewhere, because let's be sincere, Europe has a lot to learn from the U.S. too, not just the other way around. For a specific example of the sincerity of the author, check p. 74 about effective CVs and cover letters. I think it is remarkable that the bottom-line of this personal job search story is "I got a call about 15 minutes after I sent that resume." No word about having received the job. I actually have a feeling that Mr. Grinbaum did not get that particular position. However, it makes it all the more credible that he did receive the call, which was quite an achievement in that tough competition. Isn't this what we would all like when we send out our CVs? Having a chance to talk to the right person and giving destiny a chance at the same time will, I think, get us closer to receiving the right job at a given stage of our life. This book can help us do our part.
