A Whisper on the Bayou Synopsis
Seemingly isolated from the rest of the world, Channing Bayou, Louisiana prided itself with being a peaceful, yet typical south Louisiana town. Crawfish, alligator etouffee, and fishing on the Benelux River, were all staples of this small Cajun town, as well as little or no crime rate. All this changed on Halloween 2008, when Channing Bayou was shook to its sturdy core. Melanie Prejean not only committed the crime of the century, but in turn, brought Channing Bayou to its disgraced knees.
The whirlwind of events that take place over the next few days following the crime will leave you turning the pages, begging for more. This haunting psychological thriller will keep you guessing all the way to its riveting ending. There is no doubt you will check the closet and under your bed before going to sleep after reading this haunting novel.

A Whisper on the Bayou eBook Brandi Perry Melinda Mungo Sarah Viniard Reviews
i really enjoyed this book. it kept my attention the whole way through. i can not wait for buried cries from brandi.
Absolutely one of the best books I have ever read. Looking forward now to the movie and her next book release. Brandi has a great imagination and holds your attention from page one.
I didn't know what to expect when first picking up this book, but I can honestly say this was not it. The grammatical errors alone made it overly hard to read and the characters were unrealistic. I finished because I had been told it was great, now I'm wondering if may have gotten ahold of a first draft. I don't see why the editor didn't fix most of these mistakes. The murder scene was so unbelievable I found myself in a mixture of laughter and shock. My shock was not from the gore, it was from the lack of research. The story idea isn't bad but it needed so much more work. If any of Miss Perry's latest works are anything like this, I don't think I'll be able to hold out to the end.
This has to be one of the worst books I have ever read (65+ years) Spelling errors, syntax errors, repetitive phrasing and a total lack of focus.
Any author who would allow editing this poor out onto the marketplace needs to start over. A total waste of my time..
A great book to read. I enjoyed it very much. Can't wait to read more of her books. Great author.
Wonderful book. Can't wait to read the next one.
